Using the Akon line of sanitation curtains your facility can prevent cross contamination during wash down applications. These curtains are designed from USDA approved vinyl which features a non porous construction. This prevents bacteria from growing on the curtains which could lead to sanitation issues.

Overview

The curtain track is also completely stainless steel which prevents rust or degradation of the components. The design of the track is circular and open as to not allow debris to collect in it from power washing applications. The sanitation curtain track is also USDA approved.

The roller curtain hooks are stainless steel with Delrin rollers. There unique sanitary design also prevents the collection of debris. These curtain hooks are placed every 12” through the sanitary curtains stainless steel grommets.

Security curtains The curtains feature vertical steel pipe-staffs which add strength to the security barrier curtain. These pipes can be placed as close or as far apart as your application requires. The closer the pipes are located to each other, the more secure the curtain will be. At the end of the curtains, wall mount brackets lock onto the vertical pipe staffs. These wall brackets are anchored into the fixed rigid walls. The curtain can then lock onto the wall brackets, or the curtain can split in the middle and lock there. For larger spans, often times a split in the middle is the best method for access. When the security curtain is split in the middle, two vertical pipe staffs are locked together. Key Benefits of the Food Grade Approved Curtains Curtain material is constructed from 40 mil USDA grade clear non-porous flexible PVC leaving bacteria with no place to grow. Traditional PVC curtain materials can collect bacteria and create an unsanitary environment if left untreated. Stainless steel “open top” track and trolley system minimizes crevices and allows for a constant airflow across the hardware. This design eliminates dark, stagnant areas created by enclosed track systems where bacteria can harvest and grow. Design prevents cross contamination between processing lines. End users of this food grade approved curtain system are drawn to the curtains ability to sanitarily contain one area from another, for example preventing ingredients from one mixing process from entering another mixing process in their plant. Effectively reduce process line shut down during wash down cycles by creating a sanitary barrier between the areas with the food grade accredited curtains. Double reinforced top hem and no hems on bottom or vertical edges. Overlapped hems and sewn hems leave yet another place for bacteria to enter and grow. A custom top hem that eliminates the “bubble effect” created by an overlapped hem but still offers the durability that a top hem demands from not only the weight of the curtain but from day-to-day pulling and sliding by plant workers. Curtain panel sections overlap on trolley hooks eliminate the need for Velcro connections. Velcro connections made from traditional nylon and polyester inevitably become wet and dirty in a food processing environment. With each panel section overlapping by 12” or more on the hardware trolley hooks, you can effectively prevent wash break-through and cross-contamination while at the same time maintaining the sanitary environment that you demand. All surfaces of the food grade certified curtain are wash down capable. The extruded PVC is the clearest in the industry. Common Spray Booth Configurations There are many different configurations that you can choose from when designing your curtains for your paint spray booth. These Antistatic Curtains are critical for applications for applications where any electrical discharge could pose an explosion risk or damage critical components. Unlike topically treated ant-static materials which can wear off after prolonged use, our line of ESD curtains are completely antistatic. This PVC film has an anti-static agent added at the compound stage making it last longer. Also available are ESD grid curtains.

Specifications

Akon can supply your facility with heat resistant curtains which are used to protect people and objects from excessive heat creating sources such as ovens. These flame resistant curtains can withstand extreme temperatures up to 1000°F without any damage to the curtain material. These heat shield curtains can also be equipped with a reflective surface which will deflect a substantial amount of the heat back to the source.

Overview These heat resistant curtains can be supplied in almost any length and height. Typically used for industrial applications, these flame resistant curtains are custom designed per application. Along with the curtain, industrial curtain tracks can be supplied to support them. These industrial tracks are constructed from high grade galvanized steel which is made to endure these high heat environments. Curtain Materials There is a range of materials which we can choose from based on your specific requirements. These materials range from reflective materials which are great for reflecting external radiant heat away from your associates or material. Akon provides loading dock curtains and loading dock enclosures which are used to conserve energy and control dust. These industrial curtains are designed per application and can be used to cover only the door opening or to form an entire dock divider curtain wall which will enclose the entire loading dock area.

Loading dock curtain doors When only the door opening is required to be covered a retractable loading dock curtain can be used. These curtains roll side to side allowing full access to forklift traffic. They provide a professional look when in use in then can completely close and Velcro shut when not in use.
Loading dock curtain enclosures When it is not feasible to open and shut the retractable curtains due to the frequency of loading and unloading or is the sheer number of doors then a curtain enclosure can be utilized. These enclosures can be up to 300 feet long and 50 feet tall and feature strip doors or power roll up doors to accommodate personnel and forklift traffic. Overview of installation

The flexible warehouse partition walls can be supported from our galvanized stainless steel industrial curtain tracks. These curtain tracks feature nylon or steel roller curtain hooks which allow the operator to walk the partition from one side to the other.  This allows for open access when needed or to move product from one side to the other.

Another option for installation is a fixed position install. The flexible warehouse partition has grommets included on 12 inch centers located at the top of the curtain.  These grommets can then be zip tied to any structure which is located above the curtain.
