Overview

You can use the Akon line of retractable security curtains to secure an area where you do not want people to enter. These curtains are constructed from 18.50 oz heavy duty vinyl with a polyester scrim reinforcement.

The retractable security curtains roll side-to-side inside of a galvanized steel curtain track. This allows access only when access is required. The curtain locks shut with the use of a paddle lock.

Security curtains

The curtains feature vertical steel pipe-staffs which add strength to the security barrier curtain. These pipes can be placed as close or as far apart as your application requires. The closer the pipes are located to each other, the more secure the curtain will be.

At the end of the curtains, wall mount brackets lock onto the vertical pipe staffs. These wall brackets are anchored into the fixed rigid walls. The curtain can then lock onto the wall brackets, or the curtain can split in the middle and lock there.

For larger spans, often times a split in the middle is the best method for access. When the security curtain is split in the middle, two vertical pipe staffs are locked together.
