Do the rolls have phthalates?
Phthalates are a family of man-made chemical compounds developed in the last century to be used in the manufacture of plastics. They are used to give vinyl it’s flexibility. There are controversial discussions about the effect of phthalates on the environment and on the health of humans. Phthalates are anticipated to be a human carcinogen and potentially dangerous. AKON has moved to a completely Phosphorate-free formulation for its PVC product line. This makes the pvc bulk rolls safer for the environment and the people working with them.

How do I cut the strips from the roll?
Simply use a utility knife to cut the material to your exact size once you receive the roll. You also have the option to order the roll scored and pre-punched with holes so that when it arrives, all you have to do is rip off the strips, and it's ready to hang.

How Many Strips Do You Need?

The table below will show you how many strips you will need to cover your opening, (regardless of the height)

For instance, a 10' wide opening using 8" strips with 50% overlap would need 20 strips to cover the area. If you had a 20' opening (which is wider than what is on this chart), you would take 20 strips x 2 = 40 strips.
