OVERVIEW
Akon offers several PVC strip curtain bulk rolls for door openings and entire strip curtain walls. The bulk rolls come in lengths of 150′ to 300′. You can purchase the rolls pre-cut and punched to your desired height, or you can purchase them as uncut and simply unroll the PVC and cut it to your desired length. Keep in mind that you can get strip door kits as well which include the hardware.
The Best PVC Bulk Rolls
Easy Install
Replacement PVC strip bulk rolls are cut to your desired length and with pre-punched mounting holes for a quick installation.
Crystal Clear
AKON bulk PVC rolls use stabilizers which are are very clear, superior to calcium/zinc and barium/zinc stabilizers
Anti-Fungal
Anti-fungal inhibitors are used to prevent fungal growth on the surface of the PVC strips to control mold growth and clouding
Consistent Thickness
PVC is made at the proper thickness and tension to prevent strip curving as it travels from the top to the bottom of the opening

Hole Spacing
When selected, the PVC strip bulk rolls come with holes punched every 2" (see example of 8" wide strip above). This allows the strips to fit the vast majority of strip curtain hardware on the market. Please note that you can also purchase the strips without any mounting holes. Some customers choose to punch their own mounting holes onsite. Loop style is also available for mounting to bars and tubes.
Strip Widths
The PVC strip door rolls come in 4", 6", 8", 12" and 16" widths. The 8″ wide strips are the most common and widely used. The 12" and 16" wide strips would be ideal for applications where there is heavy motorized traffic or when the strips needs to be taller than 10' in height.

Frequently Asked Questions
PVC strip bulk rolls make it easy to build custom dividers for busy work areas without the hassle of installation. These strips can be cut to fit different openings and help control dust, noise, and temperature changes while still allowing clear visibility. It bends smoothly as people or equipment move through and then falls back into place. It sustains daily wear and tear and is very easy to maintain. This FAQ section shares how these bulk rolls are used, where they are ideal to be used and why this is a primary option for different facilities.
PVC Strip Bulk Rolls – Frequently Asked Questions
What are PVC strip bulk rolls used for?
PVC strip bulk rolls supply continuous lengths of PVC strip material used to build or repair strip curtain systems across large openings, industrial zones, or multiple workstations.
What materials are available in PVC strip bulk rolls?
They are typically made from industrial-grade PVC or vinyl formulated for durability, clarity, UV resistance or cold-storage compatibility depending on your environment.
Are PVC strip bulk rolls suitable for high traffic areas?
Yes, when properly sized, installed and overlapped, PVC strip bulk rolls are ideal for heavy usage areas including loading bays, warehouse doors and areas with cart or forklift traffic.
Can PVC strip bulk rolls be customized?
Yes, you can cut rolls to length, choose strip width and thickness, select clear or tinted options, and tailor the roll to your mounting configuration and overlap requirements.
How do I install PVC strip bulk rolls?
Install by mounting a header bar, sliding the PVC roll onto the bar or cutting to required length, hanging strips with correct overlap and securing end clamps or gates.
Do these rolls help maintain temperature zones?
Yes, by creating overlapping curtain panels they reduce air exchange, improve insulation across openings and help maintain cooler or warmer zones efficiently.
Can PVC strip bulk rolls be used outdoors?
Yes, if you choose UV-stable PVC and weather-resistant hardware, these rolls can perform well in semi-outdoor or covered outdoor installations.
Are clear or tinted roll options available?
Yes – you can select transparent, ribbed, tinted or coloured PVC bulk rolls depending on visibility, light transmission and traffic requirements.
How long do PVC strip bulk rolls last?
With suitable specification and maintenance, PVC bulk rolls can last many years, though lifespan depends on environment, abrasion, cleaning and traffic usage.
Are replacement parts available for strip curtains made from bulk rolls?
Yes – individual strips cut from the roll or hardware components can be replaced without replacing the entire curtain system, reducing maintenance costs.
Do bulk rolls help reduce environmental contamination?
Yes, when used in strip curtain systems they help limit dust, cold-zone air intrusion, insect ingress and debris while still allowing access.
Can bulk rolls support freezer or cold-storage applications?
Yes, there are cold-grade rolls formulated for low-temperature use, helping maintain freezer zone integrity and reduce frost migration.
Are bulk PVC roll installations cost-effective?
Yes, buying PVC in continuous rolls is typically more economical per linear foot than pre-cut panels and allows on-site cutting and flexibility.
Do PVC strip bulk rolls integrate with existing curtain systems?
Yes – they can be used to expand existing curtain systems, replace worn strips or create new zones without fully replacing hardware or mounting infrastructure.
Are bulk roll installations easy to maintain?
Yes – maintenance involves checking overlaps, cleaning surfaces, monitoring mounting hardware and replacing cut strips as required to extend service life.
Do these rolls support modular or phased installations?
Yes – bulk roll material enables phased rollout; you can cover one opening at a time or stock lengths for future expansion or replacement.
How should I measure for a PVC strip bulk roll?
Measure your opening width and height, determine strip width and overlap, then calculate linear footage or roll length required to cover specified zone and traffic levels.
Do bulk rolls meet industrial safety standards?
Yes – when correctly specified with appropriate material grade, thickness and overlap they support industrial separation, cold zone retention and traffic control requirements.
What advantages do PVC strip bulk rolls have over pre-cut panel systems?
Bulk rolls offer flexible sizing, reduced cost per foot, on-site cutting, easier inventory control and faster replacement compared to fixed-panel systems.
