Why use ribbed strip curtains? The ribbed strip curtain reduces scratching from loads passing through the opening. The high ridge of the strip takes the friction leaving the low part of the strip clear and easy to see through.
Are ribbed strip curtains ideal for people? Ribbed strip curtains are better suited to motorized traffic with light foot traffic from people. They are a heavier strip due to the ridges of the ribs.
Are the ribbed strips more expensive? Yes, ribbed strips are about 15% more expensive than a standard flat strip.
Are the ribbed strips difficult to install? No. Just like standard flat strips the ribbed strips are easy to install and require no special tools. Just place the strips over the studded hardware and lock the strip down with the nut and washer.

Anti-fungal inhibitors are used to prevent fungal growth on the surface of the PVC ribbed strips to control mold growth and clouding

PVC is made at the proper thickness and tension to prevent strip curving as it travels from the top to the bottom of the opening
Dimensions
Hole Spacing
When selected, the PVC ribbed strips come with holes punched every 2" (see example of 8" wide strip above). This allows the strips to fit the vast majority of strip curtain hardware on the market. Please note that you can also purchase the strips without any mounting holes. Some customers choose to punch their own mounting holes onsite.
Strip Widths
The ribbed strip door rolls come in 8", 12" and 16" widths. The 8″ wide strips are the most common and widely used. The 12" and 16" wide strips would be ideal for applications where there is heavy motorized traffic or when the strips needs to be taller than 10' in height.
